The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) MOC Review Exercise consists of approximately 200 multiple-choice questions selected from the secure examination pool. When taken as a closed-book, timed practice examination, the MOC Review Exercise can provide pediatricians exposure to questions that are comparable to those in the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) examination. To best simulate the actual testing environment, you should allow 4 hours to complete the examination. There is no passing score for this self-assessment.
PLEASE NOTE: This version of the MOC Review Exercise does not contain some of the functions that are available in the MOC examination. In this version, you are required to answer each question before moving to the next one. You may not move from item to item without first providing an answer. You should plan to finish this assessment in one sitting because, if you exit before you finish answering the items, your data will not be saved and you will have to start at the beginning when you next access the exercise. In addition, you do not have the capabilities of placing items on Hold for later review or reviewing items that you previously answered. Feedback will be provided after you complete the self-assessment but only on items that you answered incorrectly. Once you enroll in the MOC process, you will have access to the full functionality in the online tool.
To view what an MOC examination will look like and to assess how it will function at a Prometric Testing Center, please take the opportunity to access a 10-item sample assessment at https://www.abp.org/eval/examdriver.
ATTENTION DIPLOMATES: Completion or utilization of the following MOC Review Exercise does NOT qualify you for MOC credit. Any activities you would like to complete for MOC credit are available only through your online ABP portfolio.
